Travel back in time to the Jurassic Period as you experience the mighty roar of the dinosaurs in Real Time Gaming’s T-Rex Slots. As part of RTG’s real series slots, T-Rex features a random jackpot in the millions that can be triggered at any time during game play. With Wilds, Substitutes, and a Free Games feature, who knew a T-Rex could be so friendly (or so profitable)?
Betting in T-Rex Slots
Bet intervals in T-Rex Slots start at $0.01 and go up to $5.00 with a maximum bet of $125. T-Rex Slots features 5 reels and 25 pay lines, which means that there are 25 different combinations of symbols that earn you money on your bet.
You can increase and decrease your bet by selecting the + or – symbols in the slot next to your bet. This is how much you’ll be betting per pay line, or symbol combination. To select the number of pay lines you’d like to pay, select the + or – symbol next to Lines. The more lines you play, the greater your chance of winning. And the more you bet, the more you’ll win.
The T-Rex Slots Experience
I like to select the maximum number of pay lines, 25 in the case of T-Rex Slots. And because I wanted to get a feel for how much I could win, I also increased my bet to the maximum.
Game play moved pretty quickly for me, and I found myself winning something on nearly every spin.
A word of warning: when that T. rex appears, he is one loud dinosaur! He makes his presence known by roaring at the top of his lungs. So you may want to turn the volume down just in case you meet him. But you will want to meet him: the T. rex acts as a substitute symbol, meaning he will jump into a winning combination on reel 3 and double your winnings. I got acquainted with him pretty early on, and so did my eardrums.
I also encountered a lot of the Egg symbol, which is a scatter. These add to any pay line wins and are multiplied by your total bet. Luckily since I was betting the max, I got the most benefit from them.
Once I started getting the hang of T. rex, I activated the Auto Play feature. That meant no more manually hitting the Spin button; I just let the slot run itself. My favorite way to interact with Auto Play is to selection “Until Feature,” meaning the slot runs until I hit a bonus round. You can also set it to spin on its own for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 100 spins.
I saw mostly high card symbols, which are the lowest paying, and got excited to see palm trees and volcanoes. But my favorite part was seeing the dinosaurs. I got a refresher course in the different types, including the Ankylosaurus, Triceratops, and Stegosaurus, which pay up to 500, 2500, and 5000 respectively (double win you pair it with the T. rex).
While I didn’t get lucky enough to hit a Free Spin feature, you can activate them when 3 or more eggs appear on the slot, revealing up to 30 free games.
T-Rex Slots Impressions
Mighty roars aside, T-Rex Slots is a relaxing game with plenty of opportunities to win big and interact with creatures from the past. In fact, with these bonuses and wins, I’d say T-Rex Slots is dino-mite.
